[HANNA]

12 years ago, was when the shifters were exposed. When their freedom was taken from them, never to be returned. How did this happen, you ask? Well, let's start from the beginning shall we?

A small boy, known has Ryu, had been collecting flowers in the forest for his mother. The sky was blue, and a the breeze was warm. Everything seemed to be alright. After an hour or so, a rumble echoed though the branches. Ryu ceased his flower picking, and folloewd where the sound came from.

When he reached the area, he noticed a man, around the age of 30, curled up in the middle of a meadow. Ryu skipped to the man's side, curious as to why he was out there. When the boy placed his small hand on the stranger's muddy trench-coat, another growl surged through the forest. The man quickly spun around the face Ryu, his red eyes gleaming.

Suddenly, the man began to squirm, shift, and shake. The sound of his bones rearranging cracked through the mountains, causing Ryu to shield his ears. In a few moments, the man was no longer human. He was a wolf. Ryu immediately ran home, informing his mother of the incident as soon as he arrived. His parents called the police, and they set off to the forest.

When they reached the area where the man had changed, he was still there. As soon as the police arrived, the man shifted back into his human form. The cops took him away, sending him to a hospital.

The story quickly got out into the public, reaching out to every country in the world. All the shifters were now exposed, with nowhere to hide. So that these unusual people could be separated from the rest of the world, and still live in harmony, the government built bordered towns all over the country, just for them.

The year is now 2012, and there are now 18 shifter cities. Okami Academy is in the heart of Okami, the wolf shifting town. This is where all the shifters who can morph into wolves are located. Okami Academy is the school for the teenagers, who in which are learning to tame and control their abilities.
